This installation offers visitors an acquastic submersion in the sounds of Marseilles. An audio stream is transmitted in real time from the sea wall at the Autonomous Port of Marseilles (Port Autonome de Marseille, or PAM in French) to the KaskPam. This stream of sound is to be listened to with the head in an old-fashioned hairdryer (the casque), leading to a feeling of total immersion. Real time and the immediacy of the transmission serve to shorten distances. An autonomous and phantasmagorical space takes shape. Musical interludes interrupt the stream of sound with concerts and other compositions imported/exported from Marseilles.
